Maison Fleury

The Maison Fleury (Fleury House), which was acquired in 1990 from the estate of Richard and Rose Fleury, is a building dating back to the 19th Century and has been completely restored. During the summer season, the Maison Fleury serves as a museum for children where different exhibitions are held for this specific group of people. During the cold season, the Maison Fleury serves as a site where different activities for children are held. For example, many children have the privilege to attend workshops which are given by competent people.

WILFRID LAURIER AND CULTURE

According to archives and witnesses, Wilfrid Laurier and his wife enjoyed receiving guests for garden parties. The great of this world were always invited at these garden parties. Children were also always very welcome at these receptions. As a great poetry lover, Wilfrid Laurier and his wife Zoé, an accomplished pianist, inspired a liking for culture to their immediate circle of friends and family. It is a reknowned fact that, in the Arthabaska of their time, that the Laurier couple played a very important role in the development of great artistic careers. In order to perpetuate the memory of this great man and of his wife, the Musée Laurier keeps the tradition alive.
