Grange Fleury

In the summer of 1988, with the lack of cultural activities for young people in the region, the Musée Laurier decided to offer children’s theatre. This new activity, which began humbly, had taken place during the first years on the veranda and in the backyard of the Musée Laurier.

In 1990, the Société du Musée Laurier bought the property adjoining the museum. Besides the house, a barn of appreciable size offers the opportunity for theatrical activities for our youth.

In July 1992, through donations and following major work, La Grange Fleury was officially opened to younger audiences, allowing them to access the theatrical universe during their summer vacation. Since its opening twenty years ago, more than 30 000 children have benefited from various theatrical performances presented at the Grange Fleury.
